CAMPAT History:

In 1985, after a period of research and development, Tomalonis started selling CAD/CAM software he designed to help ease programming CNC machine tools. The software program called Computer Aided Machining for Programmable Automatic Tools or better known by the acronym ‘CAMPAT’ that would eventually become the name of his company as well as the product. CAMPAT was founded by Tomalonis as a sales and support company for his software products, and in 1988 the company was incorporated as Campat Machine Tool, Inc. There are still many companies still using this original software due to its ease of operation.

During the first year, Tomalonis began selling and servicing machine tools to support his customer’s growing needs. Later, as his product lines grew, Tomalonis expanded sales from North Texas to all of Texas and to surrounding states. In time, Tomalonis added more product lines, building his business and putting in place the staff to fully service his customer’s requirements. As Tomalonis’ business grew, so did his reputation as a knowledgeable machine tool supplier with a strong focus on service excellence in the Southwest’s machine tool marketplace. Now CAMPAT represents a number of machine tool lines in several Southern states, and as of 2000 became the exclusive importer and distributor of Leadwell machine tools for the USA.

In 1999 Tomalonis opened a CAMPAT Sales Office in Houston to better serve the South Texas marketplace. And in 2003 he opened a Technical Center in Chicago, IL, with a full sales and service staff and product showroom.
Campat has a staff of 35 to assist with Sales, Service and Application needs.
