To Further Develop Lathe And Machining Center Lines. Plano, Texas – Andy Pennington has been named the new Sales and Marketing Manager for CAMPAT Machine Tools Inc., a machine tool dealer and importer headquartered in Plano Texas. Mr. Pennington now has the responsibility for expanding sales, as well as the dealer network throughout North America and Canada for the Leadwell product lines. Leadwell produces, Vertical Machining Centers, CNC Turning Centers, CNC Bridge Mills, and Drill and Tap Centers. CAMPAT recently expanded their role as importers of the Leadwell line to include the U.S. and Canada, with sales rights to the marketplace in Mexico. Pennington will also develop the Sun Firm lathe product line as well as sales of the line of Golden Sun rotary tables. Joe Tomalonis , President of CAMPAT states, “Andy has the unique qualifications and personal drive to aggressively expand our imported product lines into areas of the marketplace that we do not currently reach.” The role Pennington will play for CAMPAT is a newly developed one. “The big goal of this initiative is to make all parties involved with these product lines; from CAMPAT to the dealer network and right down to the customers, to internalize the concept of a high-quality, American specified product that has many value added features and that can still be offered with a competitive price tag,” Pennington continues, “we have those products, and CAMPAT has the organization to support them. That’s why I’m here.” Mr. Pennington will now be responsible for sales, as well as dealer development, marketing channel programs, advertising and event management. “We purposely created this position with a large role to fill, and Andy is the guy to do it,” concluded Tomalonis. Mr. Pennington, 41, most recently served as the National Sales Manager for Edge Technologies, a productivity solutions provider to the precision metal cutting marketplace. After graduating from Iowa State University in 1988 with a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Technology, Pennington joined Hydromat Inc. as a Sales Engineer. As his talent for customer relations developed, he was promoted to Sales Manager for Hydromat’s newly developed barfeed division. Andy’s efforts over 15 years helped spur the growth of that division into an industry leader. Pennington received his CMTSE certification in 2000. When not in the CAMPAT National Headquarters in Texas, Mr. Pennington will run the sales effort from an office in St. Louis, Missouri, “We want to have a strong presence in the Midwest marketplace and the St. Louis location gives us that,” Pennington concluded.
